No Injuries Reported From Construction Site Incident

A rotary drill rig overturned yesterday on the construction site for Brock CHC’s new building at 39 Cameron Street W. in Cannington.

No injuries were reported and the machine did not contact or damage any of the neighbouring properties.

The site has been secured while the Ministry of Labour conducts an investigation.  J.J. McGuire General Contractors are hopeful to have the site up and running as soon as possible.

McGuire management and its dedicated team are working closely with the Ministry of Labour to identify the cause of the incident,” stated Jeff Robinson, President.  “The safety of our workers and community members is our highest priority.  Our mandate and culture is to ensure every reasonable precaution is taken to maintain a safe working environment.”

Ann Street, which was slated to be closed until  August 19, 2022, will remain closed at this time.
